Restore Factory Settings

When T2 cannot be restored to a usable state due to configuration changes, software errors, or environment changes, you can reinstall the factory software through a factory reset.

When to Use

  • An error appears after you change the robot configuration, and it cannot be recovered by rolling back the configuration normally.
  • Technical support recommends reinstalling the factory software to rule out environment issues.
  • You need to restore the robot to a software state close to the initial delivery.

Before You Start

💡

A factory reset may clear existing configurations and local changes. Back up important configurations, logs, and custom files before you proceed, and make sure the robot is in a stable supported state.

  • Confirm that the current robot model and the recovery package are compatible with T2.
  • Confirm that the power, network, and terminal connections are stable, and do not cut off power during the recovery.
  • If you are not sure whether a reset is needed, contact technical support first.

Run the Recovery

After you log in to the robot control board, go to the recovery directory and run the recovery program. The command below uses the installation package name in the current recovery directory; if the directory contains multiple installation packages, use the file that matches your device version.

cd /home/booster/Documents/recovery
sudo ./v1.0.1.30-release-single-aarch64.run

Check After Recovery

  1. Wait for the recovery program to finish, and restart the robot as prompted.
  2. Confirm that the robot starts normally and that basic services and the network connection are restored.
  3. Reconfigure the network, App, voice, or custom parameters that you need to keep.
  4. If the error persists after recovery, record the symptoms and provide logs to technical support as described on the Log Retrieval page.
