Overview

SoccerKickManager manages the soccer kick workflow: enables automatic kick control, accepts ball position, kick direction and power, and issues kick commands. Use it to make the robot perform an automatic kick after the ball position has been detected.

The T2 model does not currently support automatic kicking; constructing SoccerKickManager will throw a RuntimeError.

Typical call sequence:

  1. Create a BoosterRobot.
  2. Create a SoccerKickManager(robot).
  3. Call start() to enter soccer mode and enable visual kick control.
  4. Call update_command(direction, power) to set kick direction and power.
  5. Continuously call update_ball(x, y) to update the current ball position.
  6. Call stop() to disable visual kick control.
